The Community Program Coordinator is the face of CMHA of NB in their respective communities and is responsible for promoting the mental health of all people through education sessions, public awareness activities, advocacy and resources. The Community Education Coordinator provides such services in the community. The Operational Stress Injury Clinic provides mental health assessment and treatment to clients and their families who are suffering from work related psychological stress and trauma. Clients are referred by Veterans Affairs Canada, the Department of National Defense and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Conditions treated at the clinic include post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, as well as depression, chronic pain and addictive illness. Staff working in this clinic have extensive education and expertise in treating trauma and mental illness. The OSI Clinic in Fredericton serves the Atlantic Region.

This provincial service offers residential rehabilitation treatment services for people with mental health and addiction problems. During their stay, an individual receives help to stay clean in combination with therapy depending on their needs.

The treatment may last from 30 to 90 days depending on the individual’s needs and objectives. The services are very personalized.

The service is provided in Campbellton. It can handle up to 12 people at a time. New admissions occur weekly. The service is available to any New Brunswicker with mental health and addiction problems whose needs may or must be treated in a residential setting may receive this service.
