The NB 9-1-1 Bureau provides the citizens of New Brunswick rapid and accurate access to emergency services on a 24/7 basis.
A 9-1-1 emergency is a threat to your health, safety or property.
Call 9-1-1 when there is a:
– Fire
– Serious accident
– Crime in progress
– Person or property in immediate danger
– Life-threatening medical situation
– Exposure to, inhalation or swallowing of a poisonous substance
– Hazardous material
The Child and Youth Psychiatric Unit of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre is a 4-bed inpatient service for youth aged 17 less a day and younger, from the Moncton area for treatment of psychiatric disorders.
Admissions are determined by the child psychiatrists.
The Day Centre offers support and assistance by providing free basic skills training sessions on various topics that promote empowerment, positive thinking and recovery of the individual in his or her community. The program is 6 weeks in duration and is available to those 16 years of age and older. The service can be accessed from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
Services are offered to clients who are referred by a physician, psychiatrist, professional from Mental Health or Addiction Treatment Centers, hospitals (emergency or psychiatric unit) or therapists in private practice.

Le Transit – Crisis Centre/Transition House is a community organization that offers a 4-bed short-term crisis intervention service to vulnerable clients 16 years of age and older experiencing mental health issues. The service offers support, with respect and dignity to promote problem solving and accompany people who wish to return to an optimal level of wellness and functioning.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit (CAPU) is a six-bed, provincial-based, inpatient psychiatric unit.
The unit provides specialized services in the areas of diagnosis clarification, assessment, and treatment for youth who require a concentrated and comprehensive service as recommended by their Mental Health Treatment Team.
The unit provides services to youth aged 9-17 (less one day) and is staffed by registered nurses, youth care workers, a psychologist, a social worker, and a clinical coordinator.
